What's behind the suffering?

After speaking at a church, I was thrilled to receive a letter from one of the members there. The first few lines were encouraging and then as I read further, she claimed she had found the 'solution' to my illness and began to promote her business products. It was disappointing. She missed the point of my talk entirely.

As I was reading Scripture this morning, a few verses in Mark chapter 8 revealed a very different perspective.

Perhaps there is something more going on behind suffering that is worth taking a look at.
